Burger Night, The Sequel

I had another Burger Night. This burger's inspiration was Greece. This time I made lamb sliders with tzatziki sauce, hummus, feta, tomatoes and red onions using mini pitas for the buns and for the vegetarians I made the same thing but made a chick pea/bulgur/pine nut patty.

It was a good night with good people and we got to wish a few friends a happy birthday and farewell to another.

*My friend pointed out that in my haste to throw together the invite I post dated the invitation by a decade. Whoops.

Percy

This started as a doodle that I liked of Percy, a character from Scott Snyder's American Vampire. It'd been awhile since I actually painted so I thought I'd turn it into a painting. So I started. Then I messed it up.

This is pretty much where it happened. I got a little too loose with my watercolor washes. I let it sit around for a while but thought I'd try and salvage it. I wasn't very successful. It was good to practice, though. I'm rusty.

A Little Late For Valentine's Day

8"x11"
Acrylic/Collage

I wanted to make a Valentine's Day post like I did for Christmas but with work at the the restaurant and everything I was too busy and got a little behind.

I think it is a stupid, ridiculous holiday so this was/is the extent of my participation. With that said there are several people that I do truly love and care about and they know who they are. But I still think of it more as Linzy's birthday than Valentine's Day.

They're Not the Same Thing

I've been thinking a lot lately about the difference between being inspired and being motivated and how very different they are. I'm glad to say that lately I'm feeling a little bit of both.
